BANANAS seeks to foster a wide variety of child care options by helping launch new child care programs and supporting existing ones. We provide information on licensing, health and safety, curriculum, record keeping and more. We offer free referrals to child care programs, as well as first aid and child education classes in several languages. For more detailed information, please choose from the following:

Seeking referrals to your program? If you have openings, please call us 510.658.7353 and we will refer interested parents free of charge.

Need help running a child care program? Talk to our staff or check out our online resources for practical information on insurance, curriculum, training, sample provider forms, back issues of our newsletter, and more.

Seeking a child care provider for your program? Contact us by phone, fax or e-mail to have your job opening listed in our job announcement file.

Thinking about a career in child care? We offer assistance in starting new programs, such as how to get licensed, child development, as well as child care and first aid classes.

Looking for a child care job? Visit us for information on available child care positions. (No calls, please.) If you're looking for a job caring for children in someone's home, please attend our in-home caregiver orientation each Friday at 10 am. (Bring two references with address and contact info.)
